MAREK entered into an agreement with General Contractor, McCarthy Building Companies and the Museum of Fine Arts to provide drywall, acoustical ceilings, fabric panels, insulation, and pre-construction. This 183,000 sq. ft. building provides the museum with an additional 100,000 sq. ft. of exhibition space to display international collections of modern and contemporary arts.

In the early phases of the project, our team went through multiple testing phases to understand what method would best accommodate the unique structure of the building and its tunnels, cloud ceilings, and barrel ceilings. In fact, in the first gallery, our team hung the ceiling three times before getting it right, through an innovative technique that Radius Track now refers to as the “Dave McMillan Method”. Radius Track is an industry-standard for cold-formed metal framing systems for curved and complex surfaces with over 20 years of experience in the industry.

This project earned MAREK the top Associated Builders and Contractors national award, Eagle Award for 2021.
