McKinney Green Building

Along with a 62 decrease in total energy consumption, the McKinney Green Building boasts a LEED Platinum rating with amenities such as photovoltaic solar cells that provide 10 percent of the building's energy, a rainwater collection and storage system, and recharge stations for alternate fuel vehicles. These enhancements have secured multiple awards for the project such as the Texas Renewable Energy Association's 2006 Building of the Year award, a Top 10 Award for the Dallas/Fort Worth Topping Out 2007, and the coveted LEED Core & Shell Platinum Rating from the U.S. Green Building Council.
