The Johnson family was sent off to Paris on a much-deserved vacation, but when they came back, their existing home was replaced with their dream house. The 720-square foot house that was destroyed by Hurricane Ike was replaced with a 4,400-square foot home. Eric and Elaine Johnson and their five daughters were selected for the new house because the one bedroom house they all shared was literally falling apart. Despite the rotting floors and the structural damage throughout their old house, this family gave away money, food and whatever else was needed to their neighbors in the 3rd ward. Their selfless acts of kindness were reported to the 'Extreme Makeover' team.
