Marek was called by Joe Cleary with DE Harvey, to take part in a in a project that Joe is very passionate about. The project was to build out the new office space for Helping a Hero, an organization that restores lives and builds homes for severely wounded veterans injured in Iraq and Afghanistan. Each adapted home helps the wounded hero transition back into civilian life, giving them the opportunity to live as independently as possible, despite their injuries.
When we received this call to duty we dove in. Marek provided the labor and material for building out the office space. The team did a superb, high quality job on the space. A leader at Helping a Hero stated, "Our team was more productive in the 2 weeks of being on the new office project than in the entire month of working without a central location."
On November 12th - Helping a Hero held a Gala at the Bayou City Event Center. This event honored 24 veterans - helping bring the recogintion to the couragous people that have fought for our freedom.
